2026 Easter Monday Melee

Join us for an exciting day of pétanque at the Easter Monday Melee in Rochdale! Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newcomer to the sport, this tournament promises fun, competition, and plenty of good company. The event will take place at the Rochdale Pétanque Club, where players of all levels will gather to test their skills and enjoy the sport in a friendly, social environment.

Event format

The Easter Monday Melee will feature a unique team draw format (melee), meaning that every round, participants will be randomly assigned to a different team. This keeps things exciting and gives everyone the chance to play with different partners throughout the day. The tournament will consist of several rounds, with the player who wins the most games across all rounds taking home the title.

What to wear

Players are encourage to wear sports kit (e.g., comfortable sportswear or athletic clothing).

Refreshments

Refuel during the event with a variety of refreshments available from the cricket club's clubhouse. Enjoy a selection of snacks, soft drinks, hot beverages, and more to keep you energised and refreshed between games.
